Wow, the time has gone by! So much for good intentions - as you know Anneliese was born in October and this is our first real blog post!

Anneliese is growing up so fast. The last six (almost seven!) months have flown by! Hopefully we can start updating this more regularly and keep everyone up to date about what has been going on.

So, our latest news:
Anneliese has learned to play peek-a-boo! She's loved it for a while - we would cover her face and then pull it off for her, then later we could cover her face and she would start to pull it off on her own. Then on Mother's Day she learned to put it over her face, and then pull it right back off again. Then she laughs and laughs. Silly girl.

Speaking of Mother's Day, we had a great time visiting with family. I think Anneliese would have enjoyed it more if her teeth were cooperating, but it was good to see everyone.

She is also eating lots of food now. So far she has had brown rice, asparagus, millet, spinach, potato, avocado, banana, oatmeal, pear, sweet potato, apple, plum, and a taste of watermelon and chicken. She wasn't too sure about the watermelon, and the sweet potato isn't her favorite, but the rest of it she really likes. And of course how could we forget her sampling daddy's red beans and rice (loved it!) and pork sausage (spit it out!).

Keep checking back for more updates - we plan to start posting things regularly. If you click the "subscribe" button to the right it makes it easy to get updates. And feel free to leave a comment!
